Join us Sunday for spoken Holy Communion at 8:30 a.m., Bible Study at 9:30 a.m., and Holy Communion with choir at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday Holy Communion is at 6:00 p.m. Visitors are always welcome.

02 — Your first Sunday

Everything you need to walk through the red doors.

    Arrive a few minutes early

    Parking is available beside the church. A greeter will welcome you and give you a bulletin that guides the service.

  2. 02

    Choose any seat

    No one expects you to know when to sit, stand, or kneel. Simply follow the bulletin and the people around you.

  3. 03

    Stay for conversation

    After worship, linger and meet the parish. Questions are welcome, and so are quiet exits when that is what you need.

03 — Rooted here

A young parish in a sanctuary with a long memory.

1793

Shiloh Presbyterian Church is organized, becoming one of Tennessee’s early Presbyterian congregations.

1871

The brick sanctuary is built—the same room in which Saint Michael’s worships today.

2005

Saint Michael’s begins as an Anglican church plant centered on historic worship and parish community.

2015

The parish makes the Shiloh building its home and begins a new chapter in its story.

Today Saint Michael’s is part of the Anglican Diocese of the South in the Anglican Church in North America.

Deacon

Deacon Stephen assists at the Eucharist and serves the parish through the Gospel, prayer, and practical care.

The Most Rev. Dr. Foley Beach

Archbishop and Diocesan Bishop

Archbishop Foley serves as Diocesan Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of the South. Consecrated in 2010 as the diocese’s first bishop, he served as Archbishop and Primate of the Anglican Church in North America from 2014 to 2024.

Assisting Bishop

Bishop Frank assists Archbishop Foley Beach in episcopal pastoral care and leadership across the Anglican Diocese of the South, including confirmations, ordinations, and support for regional deans.

Questions are welcome here.

What should I wear?

Come as you are. You will see everything from jeans to jackets and dresses. No special preparation or church background is expected.

What is Anglican worship like?

Our service follows the historic Book of Common Prayer, with Scripture, prayer, a sermon, music, and Holy Communion. The bulletin makes it easy to follow along.

Are children welcome?

Absolutely. Children and teens are part of our parish life, and activities for children are available during the 10:30 a.m. Sunday service.

Can I receive Communion?

All baptized Christians who receive Communion in their own church are welcome at the Lord’s Table. You may also come forward for a blessing.

Sundays at 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.

There is a place for you at Saint Michael’s.
